I am very happy with this purchase and I'm looking forward to installing it in my lawnmower. However, I am a little concerned about it, as the shipping was a little ruff. That’s why I put 4 stars instead of 5 stars. The box seems like it was dropped on its side and the shaft pocked through the side of the box. I’m hoping there was no real damage done, When the box was dropped off on my porch, it was upside down, even though the box clearly shows which side is up, so the oil had leaked out of the engine and filled the plastic that was wrapped around the engine. I’m crossing my fingers everything will be Okay!
Engine would ot start period. So I removed the fuel bowel and the float was stuck. Thinking this would solve the problem still no start. Used starting fluid and got it to run for 15 seconds. Checked the idle air screw and was way off, should be approx 1 1/2 turns out and it was 4 1/2 turns out. So still no start without starting fluid. I’m thinking this is baloney,not getting enough fuel,so took the carb off and used my ultrasonic cleaner which always works, it has never failed to get a carb spotless. Re installed carb and it still will not run without partial choke. Main jet right? Nope ,this carb is defective. I have a good 8 hrs messing with this stupid engine. Ordered a new carb today, if this doesn’t fix, this pos is going back and I will buy a predator engine that I know works straight out of the box. DO NOt BUy this engine…Beware
