What it does
A cosmetic hydrating mask, not a treatment. Collagen molecules are too large to enter skin from a mask and work as a surface moisturiser. Several hours under an occlusive layer leaves skin well hydrated, plumper-looking and smoother the next morning. That effect is real and temporary.
Safety — peel-off masks need care
Peeling a set film off the face takes the top layer of skin and fine facial hair with it. Keep it away from the eyebrows, hairline, lips and eyes. If it will not peel easily, soften it with warm water rather than pulling.
Do not sleep with a mask covering the nose or mouth, and do not use one on a child. Patch test and wait 24 hours. Do not use on broken, sunburnt, irritated or acne-inflamed skin, on rosacea or eczema, or on the same day as acids or retinoids. Stop if your skin becomes red or sore.
