A precision 4-jaw self-centering lathe chuck in iron and steel, available in 80mm, 100mm and 125mm.

Details

  • Sizes: 80mm, 100mm, 125mm
  • 4-jaw, self-centering
  • Iron and steel body
  • Wide clamping range

Before you order

Check the mounting against your lathe spindle. Chucks are not universal — backplate pattern, bolt circle and register all have to match, and a backplate is usually needed and not included. The supplier gives no runout figure, so treat the "precision" description as unverified and check runout yourself on arrival.

Safety

Never leave the chuck key in the chuck. Check the work is gripped properly and the jaws are within their range before starting the spindle. Do not exceed the chuck's rated speed. Wear eye protection, and no gloves, loose sleeves or jewellery near a running lathe. Keep out of reach of children.

As a manufacturer of precision mold parts processing, we have extremely high requirements for chuck positioning accuracy, and this 4-jaw chuck fully meets the standard! When clamping a Φ50 eccentric shaft, by adjusting the four jaws individually, we can easily achieve precise positioning with an eccentricity of 5mm. Monitoring the entire processing process with a dial indicator, the eccentricity deviation is always controlled within 0.008mm. The processed eccentric shaft is assembled into the mold and runs very smoothly. The chuck is made of high-strength cast iron with good rigidity, no chuck deformation during processing, and the accuracy remains stable after three months. It has much higher cost-effectiveness than imported chucks!
