Use
Nylon tools are deliberately softer than the trim so they give way first — they wear down and are consumables. Work slowly, and warm the trim in cold weather; cold plastic clips snap. Order replacement clips before you start; some always break.
Safety
Disconnect the battery before removing any trim near an airbag, and never pry on an airbag cover. Wear eye protection — a tool slipping off a clip under load is how people get hurt.
