What 3 ATM actually means
3 ATM is rated for splashes, rain and hand washing only. It is not a swimming or showering rating. Hot water and soap in particular destroy the seals on a watch at this rating, and water resistance drops as a watch ages.
Please note
Check the case and band dimensions in the product options — watch photos rarely convey the real size. If the band needs shortening, a jeweller will do it, usually free.
Quartz watches need a battery every couple of years; have it changed by a jeweller so the case is resealed properly.
