Before you order
Compare the old carburettor with the photos before ordering — bolt spacing, bore, fuel pipe positions and the choke lever direction all have to match. Engine model numbers of this kind are used loosely across many brands.
Check whether gaskets and the intake manifold are included. Fitting a carburettor without new gaskets usually gives you an air leak, and an air leak on a two-stroke runs it lean and seizes it.
A machine that will not run right often has a stale fuel, blocked filter, split fuel line or air leak problem rather than a bad carburettor. Check those first.
Safety
Drain and dispose of old petrol properly; do not pour it down a drain. Work outdoors, away from any ignition source, and disconnect the spark plug lead before working on the engine. Testing the machine afterwards means running it — keep clear of the blade or line.
