Check the head type in the product options — some versions have wire bristles, some have a steel scraper blade, and some are stiff nylon. They behave very differently on soft paving.

No weedkiller and no petrol. It is slower than a strimmer or a pressure washer, but it does not throw debris, does not blast the sand out of block paving joints, and does not put chemicals where pets and children walk.
Safety
If the head has wire bristles, wear eye protection — broken bristles fly, and they embed in skin. Sweep them up afterwards; a shed wire bristle in a pet's paw is a vet visit.
