Check the measuring range and graduation in the product options before ordering — a 0.01mm and a 0.002mm indicator are used for quite different work. The indicator is supplied uncalibrated; if you need traceable measurement, have it calibrated. A magnetic base only holds on clean, flat ferrous steel — wipe the contact surface first, and never leave the magnet switched on while machining near it.
