Safety
A mini chainsaw is still a chainsaw, and these cause serious hand and arm injuries precisely because they look harmless.
Wear cut-resistant gloves, eye protection and boots. Use two hands whenever you can — one-handed use is what makes these dangerous, because your other hand is usually holding the branch in line with the cut.
Check whether it has a chain brake. Many mini chainsaws do not — assume it does not until you have confirmed otherwise.
Never cut above shoulder height, on a ladder, or with the bar tip.
Keep the chain oiled and correctly tensioned. A loose chain can come off and whip.
Remove the battery before touching the chain or clearing a jam. Not for use by children.
