The UV400 rating is the manufacturer's; we have not tested it independently.
Do not wear these, or any tinted or yellow-tinted glasses, for driving at night. Tinted lenses make the road darker, not clearer. Yellow lenses can raise the contrast of what you can already see, but they cut the total light reaching your eyes, which makes it harder to spot a pedestrian or an unlit hazard. Road safety bodies advise against night driving glasses for this reason, and in some countries they are not legal for night use.
Polarised lenses can also make some phone and dashboard screens look dark or patchy at certain angles, which is normal.
