Before you order — check the thread

Check the thread size and direction against your machine. Strimmer shaft threads vary and many are left-hand threaded — that is the usual reason a "universal" head will not fit. Check the maximum line diameter your machine takes.

Use

Automatic heads use more line than bump heads. Wind neatly and not past the fill line, or the line tangles inside and stops feeding.

Safety

Wear eye protection and sturdy shoes, keep people and pets well away, and always run the machine with its guard fitted. Stop the engine and remove the battery or plug lead before fitting the head or reloading line.
