Important — attach it to a harness, never a collar
Always clip this to a properly fitted body harness, never to a neck collar. In even a light impact or a hard stop, a tether attached to a collar can cause serious neck injury or strangulation.
What this is not
This is a travel restraint that stops a pet moving around the car. It is not a crash-tested safety device and has not been through any crash certification. It will not protect your pet in a collision the way a crash-tested carrier or a certified harness system will. If crash protection matters to you, use a crash-tested carrier.
