Before you order — check the thread
Check the thread size and direction against your machine. M10 is common but far from universal, and many strimmer shafts are left-hand threaded. Getting this wrong is the single most common reason a replacement head does not fit.
Check the maximum line diameter your machine takes; line too thick will not feed and overloads the motor.
Use
Bump the head on firm ground while the engine is at full speed — bumping at low revs jams the spool rather than feeding it. Wind the line neatly and not past the fill line, or it will tangle inside and stop feeding.
Safety
Always wear eye protection and sturdy shoes, and keep people and pets well away — a trimmer throws stones at speed. Fit the machine's guard and never run it without one. Stop the engine and remove the battery or plug lead before fitting the head or reloading line.
