The title said "brightening". That has been taken out. This is a cosmetic serum, not a medicine. It does not lighten skin, and it has not been assessed by any medical regulator. Hyaluronic acid holds water at the surface, which makes skin look plumper and smoother while it is hydrated — that is the honest effect.
About vitamin C in imported serums
Vitamin C oxidises in light and air, turning yellow then brown, and loses its effect. A bottle that has spent months in transit may have little active vitamin C left. Keep it cool, capped and out of the light, and do not use it if it has darkened.
Safety
Patch test and wait 24 hours before first use — vitamin C serums sting and irritate sensitive skin. Avoid the eye area. Use sun protection during the day. Do not layer it with acids or retinoids while you are getting used to it. Stop if your skin becomes red or sore. Keep out of reach of children.
