Please read before ordering

• Check your transom height and thickness, and your boat's rated maximum engine power, before ordering. Overpowering a small inflatable is dangerous.
• 2-stroke: runs on a petrol/oil mix. Straight petrol will destroy it.
• Two-stroke outboards are restricted or banned on many inland lakes and waterways in the US, UK and EU on emissions grounds. Check the rules for the water you use.
• Registration and insurance requirements for powered boats vary by country and state.

Safety — please read

• Attach the kill cord to yourself every time you run the engine. Without it, a boat you fall out of carries on under power.
• Water cooled: check the telltale water stream within a few seconds of starting. No water means the impeller is not pumping — shut down immediately. Never run the engine out of the water without a flushing attachment.
• Petrol and hot exhaust in a small boat: carry a fire extinguisher, refuel ashore, and never run the engine in an enclosed space — exhaust contains carbon monoxide.
• Wear a lifejacket.
