This is a cosmetic hair and scalp oil. It does not grow new hair, does not fill in bald areas, does not revive hair follicles, and does not treat hair loss. Batana oil is heavily marketed online for hair growth and there is no reliable clinical evidence for it.

What an oil actually does is coat the hair shaft: it makes hair softer, shinier and easier to comb. That is a change in how hair looks and feels, not in how much of it you have.

If you are losing hair, see a doctor or dermatologist — particularly if it is new, patchy or sudden. Hair loss can have treatable medical causes, and the treatments proven to work for it are regulated medicines.

Safety

Patch test on a small area of skin and wait 24 hours before first use. Stop if your scalp becomes red, itchy or sore. Keep it out of your eyes and off broken skin.
