Safety — important
Abrasive cut-off discs shatter. That is their normal failure mode, and fragments leave a 32mm disc at very high speed. Always wear proper impact-rated eye protection, and a face shield if you can — ordinary glasses are not enough.
Never exceed the disc's rated speed. Do not use a cracked or chipped disc, do not use a cutting disc for grinding, and do not apply side pressure — that is what breaks them.
Wear a dust mask, keep sparks away from anything flammable, and secure the workpiece in a vice. Cut metal gets extremely hot — do not pick it up.
