A watch band link removal tool for resizing a metal bracelet, pushing out the link pins so links can be taken out or added back.

Before you start

Check which way the pins go. Bracelet links have small arrows on the inside showing the direction pins must be pushed out. Pushing against the arrow damages the link.

Work over a tray. Link pins and the tiny split collars that hold them are easily lost, and pins bend if forced. Support the bracelet in the tool properly; unsupported links bend.

Take the same number of links from each side of the clasp so the watch sits centred on your wrist, and keep the removed links safe — you may want them back.

Please note

Resizing may void the warranty on a new watch, and many jewellers will do it free. This tool is not for opening a case back, and it will not resize a solid-end or pin-and-collar bracelet without care — those need a proper pin pusher and patience.
