Before you order — important
Check that your machine is designed to take a blade head at all. Most electric strimmers are nylon-line only, and fitting a blade to a machine not rated for one is dangerous — the motor, the shaft and the guard are not built for the loads or the kickback.
Check the mounting hole, the blade diameter and the fixing arrangement against your machine.
Safety
Blades kick back. If the blade catches a stone, a root or a fence post, the machine is thrown sideways, usually towards your legs.
Wear eye protection, long trousers, gloves and sturdy boots, and keep everyone well clear. Always run the machine with the correct guard for a blade — a line guard is not the same part.
Never use a cracked, bent or chipped blade; it will disintegrate. Check the fixing is tight, and stop the machine and disconnect it before touching the blade.
