Before you order
Check your jigsaw takes T-shank blades — older saws use U-shank and the two are not interchangeable.
HCS blades are for wood and plastic. High carbon steel is not the right material for metal; it goes blunt very quickly. If you cut metal often, buy HSS or bi-metal blades — and check what the "metal" blades in this set actually are.
These are aftermarket blades.
Safety
Match the blade to the material and the thickness — too coarse a blade splinters, too fine a blade overheats. Clamp the workpiece. Wear eye protection and a dust mask, unplug or remove the battery before changing blades, and remember the blade is very hot straight after a cut. Let it stop before lifting the saw.
