Electrical Disconnect Pliers — 8 inch 60° Angled Connector Release Tool
Angled 8 inch pliers with a 60 degree head, made for releasing the locking tabs on automotive electrical connectors and sensor plugs without damaging them.
Key Features
- 8 inch, 60° angled head
- For automotive connectors and sensors
- Releases locking tabs cleanly
Why the angle matters
Automotive connectors are usually in places you cannot see and cannot get straight fingers into. The angled head reaches the release tab from the side — which is the difference between unplugging a sensor and snapping the tab off, which leaves you needing a new connector or a whole loom section.
Use and safety
Find and release the locking tab before pulling. Never pull a connector by the wires — that damages the crimps and gives you an intermittent fault later.
Disconnect the battery before unplugging anything on a vehicle, and wait the manufacturer's stated time before touching airbag or SRS connectors — those store charge and must be treated with care.
Connector plastic goes brittle with age and heat; be gentle with anything in the engine bay. These are not insulated tools for live electrical work.
