Safety
This is a chainsaw. Wear cut-resistant gloves, eye protection and boots, and use two hands.
Check whether it has a chain brake. Many small pruning saws do not — assume it does not until you have confirmed otherwise. A chain brake is what stops the chain in milliseconds if the saw kicks back.
Never cut above shoulder height, on a ladder, or with the bar tip — the tip is where kickback comes from.
Keep the chain oiled and correctly tensioned. A loose chain can come off and whip.
Remove the battery before touching the chain, tensioning it or clearing a jam.
