We do not state a CAT safety rating for this meter because we have not seen independent certification for it. Do not use it on high-energy mains or industrial circuits that require a certified CAT III or CAT IV instrument.
- The clamp measures AC current only on most meters in this class. Check before relying on it for DC.
- Never rely on any meter alone to prove a circuit is dead. Prove the meter on a known live source, test the circuit, then prove the meter again.
