A self-adhesive sound deadening mat for the panels that make a car noisy — the bonnet, the doors, the boot floor, the roof lining. Closed-cell rubber foam with a foil face, cut and stuck straight onto clean bare metal.

Key features

  • Rubber foam core with a reflective foil facing
  • Peel-and-stick backing, so no glue or spray adhesive is needed
  • Cuts panel drumming, road roar and rattles from thin sheet metal
  • Foil face helps reflect radiant engine and sun heat away from the cabin
  • Fits bonnet, doors, boot and tailgate, chassis, wheel arches, interior walls and roof
  • Cuts with scissors or a knife to fit around brackets and holes

How to use it

Strip the panel back to bare metal, clean it and degrease it, then cut a piece slightly smaller than the area. Peel the backing, lay it down from one edge to push the air out, and press it flat with a roller or the flat of your hand.

Good to know

Fitting decides the result. On a dusty, oily or rusty panel the adhesive will lift, so surface prep matters more than the number of layers. Sound deadening reduces panel noise — it does not soundproof a car. We do not hold a fire rating for this material, so do not fit it against exhaust parts, turbo housings or any other hot surface.
