Before you order
Check the thread size and direction against your machine even though it is listed by model — BC model numbers are used loosely across many brands, and many strimmer shafts are left-hand threaded. Check the maximum line diameter your machine takes.
Use
Bump the head on firm ground at full engine speed — bumping at low revs jams the spool instead of feeding it. Wind the line neatly and not past the fill line, or it tangles inside and stops feeding.
Safety
Wear eye protection and sturdy shoes, keep people and pets well away, and always run the machine with its guard fitted. Stop the engine and remove the plug lead before fitting the head or reloading line.
