The title said "Lip Brightening" and "for Pink Lips", and the listing said it improves the look of darkened lips and provides overnight repair. All of that has been taken out.
This is a cosmetic balm, not a medicine.It does not lighten lips or change their colour. Lip colour comes from your natural pigment and the blood vessels beneath thin skin. Conditioned lips look smoother and less flaky — that is the effect.
A warning about lip-lightening products
Products sold to lighten lips are a known source of banned ingredients — mercury, high-strength hydroquinone and undeclared steroids. This is worse on lips than anywhere else because you swallow whatever you put on them.Read the full ingredient list on the pack and do not use it if the list is missing.
Lips that have darkened or changed can be a medical sign — from smoking, medication, iron deficiency, or occasionally something needing attention. If your lip colour has changed, see a doctor rather than trying to cover it.
Safety
Patch test and wait 24 hours before first use. Do not use on cracked, bleeding or cold-sore affected lips. Do not over-exfoliate — scrubbing lips makes them peel more, not less. Stop if your lips sting, swell or become sore. Keep out of reach of children.
