Important — the wattage claim and the law
These are advertised at 100W. The listing title has had that figure removed, for two reasons.
First, over-wattage headlight bulbs are not road legal in the UK, the EU and most other countries. Road headlight bulbs must be an approved type at the standard wattage (typically 55W or 60/55W) and carry an E-mark. A 100W bulb is for off-road or competition use only, and fitting one is an offence and a test failure.
Second, over-wattage bulbs draw more current than the car's wiring and switches were designed for. They melt headlight connectors and reflectors and can burn out the light switch. This is a common and expensive failure.
A blue tint makes the light look whiter but reduces the amount of light on the road, not increases it.
Do not touch the glass with bare fingers when fitting — skin oil makes a halogen bulb fail early. Always replace both sides at once. Check your car's handbook for the correct bulb type.
