The hardware looks decent, and the software is easy to install. Just use VirtualBox, and everything is working.

Everything works properly after getting it setup on my old laptop, with Windows 10 64-bit. The connector is a little looser on the OBD port than I would prefer, but it holds connection and hasn't fallen out, even hanging straight down. The biggest headache I ran into, however, was that the downloaded Techstream v18 software's "patch" file is in a RAR format, which is different than what is shown in the video instructions and therefore requires an additional unmentioned step. So, before getting into the download/install portion of the software procedure, be sure to have a program or app capable of extracting RAR files at the ready, as that'll be necessary in order to actually obtain the proper "patch" file. While it did take a little longer setting up than I would've preferred, because of the confusion over the patch file and needing to download an extraction program, everything has worked properly so I'm not gonna remove any stars.
