Before you order
Check which screws your exact model uses. Apple changed screw types across the range and across model years; not every MacBook uses P5 on the case.
Cheap precision drivers are the usual reason a Pentalobe screw rounds off. Press firmly straight down and turn slowly.
Important
Opening a MacBook will normally void any remaining warranty or AppleCare cover. Shut down and disconnect power first, and disconnect the battery before touching anything else — the logic board is live while the battery is connected.
Discharge static before handling components. Keep the screws in order; they differ in length and putting a long screw in a short hole punctures the board.
