How it works

• The unit holds a desiccant that absorbs moisture from the air in a small enclosed space.
• When it is saturated (usually shown by a colour change), plug it in on USB. The unit warms the desiccant, drives the moisture off and is ready to use again.
• Reusable — no cartridges or refills to buy.

What it will and will not do

• It is sized for a wardrobe, cupboard or drawer, not a room. It will not dry out a bedroom, a basement or a damp wall — for that you need a compressor dehumidifier.
• Drier air makes a closed space less hospitable to mould and musty smells. It does not helps keep things fresh or mould, and it does not sterilise anything. Earlier supplier wording claiming it eliminates mould and harmful microorganisms has been removed.
• If you already have visible mould or a damp problem, find and fix the source. A device like this will not.

Safety

• The unit gets warm while it is regenerating. Do it in the open, on a hard surface, not inside the wardrobe and not on fabric or paper.
• Do not leave it charging or regenerating unattended, and do not cover it.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
