Check the part number and the piston pin size on your own saw before ordering. The 044/MS440 was built with both 10mm and 12mm pin engines and they are not interchangeable.
This is an aftermarket part, not a genuine part — the model numbers are used only to identify the saws it fits.
Splitting and rebuilding a crankcase needs the crank bearings and seals set correctly, or the engine will not hold crankcase pressure and will fail. This is a job for someone with the right tools and experience.
