Use and limits
A short handle means less leverage by design — that is the trade-off for reaching behind a basin.

Before you start
Turn the water off at the isolating valve or the stopcock and open the tap to drain the line. Have a bowl and towels ready; there is always water left in the pipe. If a fitting will not move, penetrating oil and patience beat force — snapping a corroded fitting inside a wall turns a small job into a big one.
