Before you order

Check the canister thread type in the product options against the gas you can buy locally — screw-thread and puncture-type canisters are not interchangeable. Gas is not included and cannot be posted with the torch.

The title calls it a welding torch. It will not weld. A butane torch is for heating, brazing small joints and lighting fires.

Safety — this is an open flame

Outdoor or very well ventilated use only. Burning gas produces carbon monoxide, which is odourless and kills. Never use it inside a tent, caravan, van or closed room.

Check the connection for leaks with soapy water before lighting, never with a flame. Point it away from yourself when lighting. Keep it clear of anything flammable and never leave it lit and unattended.

The nozzle stays extremely hot after use — let it cool fully before packing it. Butane performs poorly in the cold; below about 5°C the pressure drops off badly. Store canisters upright, out of the sun, and never in a hot car. Keep away from children.
