Confirm the impact rating in the product options before using these on an impact wrench. Chrome hand adapters shatter under impact and the fragments travel — only black impact-rated steel is safe there.
Use and limits
Use impact sockets with an impact wrench, not chrome hand sockets — the adapter being impact rated does not make the socket safe.
Stepping a small drive up to a big socket is where things break. A 1/4in adapter has no business carrying 1/2in impact torque. Step down for access, not to get more torque out of a small tool.
An impact wrench will happily overtighten and snap fasteners — always do the final tightening with a torque wrench on anything that matters, and never use one on wheel nuts without torquing afterwards.
