What it actually does

• Warm steam softens the skin's surface and loosens debris, which makes cleansing and extractions easier. The magnifier helps you see what you are doing.
• It is not a medical device. It does not heal skin, and it does not make nutrients absorb into the body. Earlier supplier wording claiming otherwise has been removed.
• Use distilled or filtered water. Tap water leaves scale.

Important — ozone and UV

• This unit is listed by the supplier as having an ozone function and a UV lamp. We do not recommend using either.
• Ozone is a lung irritant, not a skin treatment. Breathing it can cause coughing, chest tightness and asthma attacks, and there is no good evidence it helps skin. The US FDA and EPA both warn against ozone-generating devices used in occupied rooms. If your unit has an ozone switch, leave it off, or at minimum keep the room well ventilated and do not breathe the mist.
• Do not look at the UV lamp and do not expose skin to it. UV damages skin and eyes.

Safety — please read

• The mist is hot and can scald. Keep the nozzle at least 30–40cm from the face, never point it at anyone else, and never open the tank while it is hot or under pressure.
• Limit sessions to around 10 minutes.
• Do not use with rosacea, active eczema, sunburn, broken skin, asthma or any respiratory condition, or after a recent cosmetic procedure, without medical advice.
• Water and mains electricity: keep the base dry, use an RCD/GFCI-protected socket, and never fill it while plugged in.
• 786W is a substantial load — check the plug type and voltage suit your country before ordering.
