Before you order — important
Check the voltage range, the current range and whether the ammeter needs an external current transformer in the product options. Panel ammeters of this type are usually made for a specific CT ratio, and the reading is meaningless with the wrong one.
Check the panel cut-out and depth against your enclosure.
Safety — this is a mains-connected instrument
This is for installation in a panel by a qualified electrician. It connects to live conductors and the terminals are exposed at the back.
Never open-circuit the secondary of a current transformer while the primary is energised — it develops a lethal voltage. Isolate and lock off before any work.
It is an indicating instrument, not a calibrated or trade-approved meter, and it is not a protective device. Fuse and protect the circuit properly. Electrical panel work is regulated in most countries; if you are not qualified, use an electrician.
